The satisfaction index of solar energy consumers is on the rise in Brazil. According to a study recently published by Greener, around 93% of customers are satisfied with the investment made in technology, while only 7% consider themselves dissatisfied or do not know how to give an opinion.

In total, the survey by the research and consultancy company mapped the profile of a thousand consumers during 2021.

Of these, 97% said they would recommend the investment to a friend, with reservations about the value of the investment (considered high) and emphasizing that a company with good support for the entire process must be chosen.

In an interview with Solar Channel, Márcio Takata, CEO of Greener, highlighted the importance of numbers, but highlighted that it is essential that the market also does not forget to look at the other side of the research: that 7% of those interviewed did not see any advantages in installing the equipment.

Among the reasons found for dissatisfaction, the study highlights the lack of alignment between delivery and the expectation of financial return generated in the budget.

“This percentage of 7% was certainly caused by a combination of factors. One of them is the delivery of energy generation below what was promised to the consumer”, said Takata.

“There may also have been a lack of communication when warning the customer that if they drastically increase their energy consumption, the payback it also increases”, highlighted the executive.

In addition to the lack of good service, Greener's CEO also included in the assessment possible flaws in the assembly of projects, equipment and installations.

Other highlights

In addition to measuring the satisfaction of solar energy consumers, the Greener study also identified that, among companies, the retail segment is the one that installs the most photovoltaic systems in Brazil, with 41% of customers.

Of this amount, the highlights are supermarkets (29%) and gas stations (11%). In the services segment, the accommodation sector (hotels, for example) accumulates 17% of installed systems, followed by health services (12%).

Regarding the size of companies that installed photovoltaic systems, micro and small companies lead the use of the source in the country in terms of units. Together, the two groups represent 73% of the consumers interviewed who have systems connected to the network.
