Currently, the Brazilian rural sector occupies third position in the national ranking, with 1.26 GW of installed power in photovoltaic solar DG (distributed generation), according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).

The segment is responsible for 13.7% of all installed power in Brazil, with more than 65 thousand photovoltaic systems installed and around 93 thousand UCs (Consumer Units) receiving credits through solar energy.

In March 2021, the segment had approximately 724 MW of installed power, that is, the rural sector has increased by approximately 74% since then.

Guilherme Nagamine, director of L8 Energy, assessed that the source Solar is an advantageous solution for consumer units that suffer from continuous energy supply. “Photovoltaic energy is a solution that makes it possible to generate your own electrical energy even in difficult-to-access places where energy utilities cannot reach”, he highlighted.

“In addition to generating energy through the sun, it is also possible to store energy that was not used during the day and use it at night, thus bringing all the comfort that electrical energy can provide”, added the executive.

Aiming to increase solutions for this segment, the distributor participated in the Show Rural Coopavel 2022, an event dedicated to agribusiness in Latin America. During the event, the distributor displayed its product portfolio: solar tiles, solar lights, solar umbrella, solar backpack and thin film.

Furthermore, the company also presented traditional equipment, such as modules and inverters. Another highlight of the company at the event was the partnership with Huawei. “We exclusively present the display with energy storage technology generated by the photovoltaic system”, said the director of L8 Energy.
