You investments in own solar energy generation in the rural properties already add up R$ 15.5 billion at the Brazil, with almost 170 thousand photovoltaic systems installed in all states of the country.

It is the point one mapping carried out by My Solar Financing, as a basis data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) and ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association).

According to Carolina Reis, director of fintech, one of the great pillars of success of solar energy in agribusiness Brazilian is in high power competitiveness of national products compared to other global players.

“As one of the main inputs for rural productive activity is electrical energy, the use of solar energy on farms is currently one of the great solutions to further increase the competitiveness, quality and sustainability of agricultural and livestock management in Brazil,” she said. .

The professional also pointed out that the use of technology in the field results in economy, environmental protection and more energy security for producers, as solar systems have low operation and maintenance costs and represent a new source of wealth for the countryside.

Another relevant point mentioned by Carolina is the fact that the source to produce electricity to areas where the electrical grid has not yet reached or that works precariously and unstable, depending heavily on diesel generators.

“The synergy between agribusiness and photovoltaic solar is immense, with diverse applications in rural production. The technology is extremely versatile and can be used, for example, in pumping and irrigating water, in refrigerating meat, milk and other products, in regulating temperature for poultry production, in lighting, in electric fences, in systems telecommunications, rural property monitoring, among many other features”, concluded Carolina.
