A network of franchises energy solar EcoPower realized The Donation on one photovoltaic system to the Shelter House Baby Jesus, Father Gabriel Foundation Run, in Barretos (SP). The project was delivered on June 2nd, in the Jardim Vale do Verde neighborhood.

According to the company, the plant has power of 9.9 kWp and will generate, on average, 1,200 kWh of electricity per month. The action must reduce the institution's energy bill by 95%, which has the capacity to serve around 20 teenagers, aged between 12 and 18.

Tania Diamantino, director of the foundation, said that the donation will enable a series of improvements in the quality of life of young people. With the savings we are going to make, we will be able invest in dental care, courses and even improve everyone’s diet. This action came at an opportune and very delicate moment in which we are living.”

According to Anderson Oliveira, president of EcoPower, the materials are new, but due to minor damage they could not be for sale.

After carrying out tests, he stated that this equipment could be reused and gained a better purpose. If the social action model, carried out for the first time this year, is validated, it should be replicated in other entities.

For Erika Carvalho, quality and ESG manager at EcoPower, environmental, social and corporate governance actions have never been more relevant for companies.

“ESG impacts the company’s entire operations, from its environmental sustainability actions to its relationship with stakeholders, transparency in the market and the development of social projects. It makes us seek growth, but in a sustainable way”, concluded Ericka.
