“We will be the largest parking lot covered by photovoltaic panels in Latin America. Furthermore, over the years we will have savings on conventional energy, all of this provided by financing.” This is what Altino Voltolini, owner of Recanto Cataratas Thermas & Resort, in Foz do Iguaçu (PR) says.
The total value of the investment will be approximately R$ 14.7 million. The financing was provided by BRDE (Banco Regional de Desenvolvimento do Extremo Sul). The structure that will receive the photovoltaic modules is already being assembled in the resort's parking lot.
According to the businessman, 6,888 solar panels will be installed. The system is expected to begin operating gradually later this year.
“The estimate is that the car parking space, which comprises 80 to 85%, will come into operation between December 15 and 20, 2020. The bus parking part in mid-January”, he explained.
