MTR Solar, a tracker manufacturer for photovoltaic systems, has already delivered more than 300 MW of equipment in the first quarter, and the goal for the year is to reach 1.5 GW.

In 2023, the company intends to invest more than R$ 50 million in developing products and solutions for large solar plants. The company estimates revenue of R$ 1.5 billion in the 2022/23 biennium.

The metallurgy company developed a national tracker, adaptable to different regions of the country and different seasons. The tracker is equipment that follows the position of the sun throughout the day, optimizing solar generation.

According to the company, the main advantage offered by trackers is an efficiency gain of 20% compared to systems that do not use a tracker.

This year, MTR wants to become one of the main providers of solutions for large plants in Latin America. Offices in Chile and Colombia are scheduled to open in the first half of the year, and the company already has an office in Mexico.

In October 2022, the company announced the investment of R$ 100 million in its second solar equipment factory in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. The metallurgical company has already delivered more than 800 MW-peak (MWp) and around 400 plants.
