A It's sunny, a company founded by the Japanese Shizen Energy and the Brazilian holding company Espaço Y, signed a contract with Origo Energy for the construction of 17 solar farms in Brazil, with 33.4 MW of capacity, using the distributed energy generation model.
The plants will be built in two states (Minas Gerais and Ceará) and the Federal District, and are expected to generate enough energy to meet the demand of around 130 thousand homes over a period of one year.
The investment in the project will be R$ 150 million and the solar parks are expected to come into operation in the final stretch of 2022, more precisely in November.
The construction of the projects is part of Fazsol's growth strategy in Brazil.
Under the signed agreement, the company will be responsible for the development of solar parks, while Órigo will be the bridge with end consumers.
Currently, the company has eight renewable energy projects in operation in the country, with 8.6 MW of capacity. The company, however, reported that it intends to invest at least R$ 1 billion by 2024 to reach 200 MW of solar plants in operation in Brazil.
