Feitosa and Mosna take command of ANEEL with challenging agenda

Two members of the new Board of Directors took office this Monday (15), ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency): the general director, Sandoval Araújo Feitosa Neto and the director Fernando Mosna.

During the inauguration ceremony, held in the auditorium of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), in Brasília (DF), Feitosa emphasized the importance of dialogue in the sector and consumer satisfaction.

Among the priorities defended by Mosna is obtaining an adequate level of tariff reasonableness. According to him, it is necessary to guarantee balanced regulation, with improvement of regulatory standards in relation to the free market and modernization of the sector.

The two new directors arrive to assist in several important and complex processes, such as improving access to transmission in the scenario of expansion of renewable generators, improve the regulation of the calculation of technical losses regulatory and prepare the valuation of DG (distributed generation), which must be established by ANEEL based on the costs and benefits of the segment, respecting the guidelines of the CNPE (National Energy Policy Council).

Who are the new directors?

Former director of ANEEL and career server, Feitosa started in the sector as an Electrician graduated from SENAI-PI and an Electrical Technician graduated from the Federal Technical School of Piauí. Worked on coordinating technical maintenance teams Chesf (São Francisco Hydroelectric Company) and as technical manager at Cemar (Companhia Energética do Maranhão).

He was also superintendent of Regulation of Transmission Services, superintendent of Inspection of Electricity Services and advisor to the Board. Representing the Agency, Sandoval was director of ABAR (Brazilian Association of Regulatory Agencies), from 2018 to 2020.

Mosna joins the Collegiate in the vacancy resulting from the end of the term of Efrain Cruz. Federal Attorney of the AGU (Attorney General of the Union) since 2012, Mosna has worked in the last three years as an advisor in the federal Senate and was a lawyer at Petrobras from 2010 to 2012, in addition to being a lawyer at CEDAE (Companhia Estadual de Águas e Esgotos do Rio de Janeiro).
