The 8th edition of GD Sul Forum, which was scheduled to take place between March 3rd and 4th, with the aim of bringing together large companies and associations to discuss the main challenges and opportunities for the photovoltaic solar energy sector, has been postponed until March 31st and April 1st.

In a statement, the FRG Mídias & Eventos Group, the company that organizes the ceremony, highlighted that the decision was taken in common agreement with the city of Canela (RS) and other entities in the sector, due to the new restrictive measures against the new coronavirus which were announced in the State of Rio Grande do Sul.

“It is worth highlighting that on this date the event can be held in its full number of participants, in addition to the fact that, as the city hall said, the cities of Canela and Gramado will be decorated for Easter, which is the week following the event, to receive the congressmen and speakers, in a very special atmosphere”, informs one of the excerpts of the note.

On Monday night (22), the government of Rio Grande do Sul published four decrees that update the measures to combat the pandemic in the State.

The documents determine:

  • Update of protocols and flags for the 42nd round of Controlled Distancing;
  • Expansion of the suspension hours of non-essential activities (from 8 pm to 5 am);
  • Permission for in-person activities for Early Childhood Education and 1st and 2nd years of Elementary School in the black flag;
  • Need, in regional plans, for a commitment to monitor compliance with health protocols.
