To the solar plants of GC (centralized generation) have already brought more than R$ 44 billion in new investments for the Brazil in the last decade, according to a survey released by ABSOLATE (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association).
The study of the entity also points out that, in this same period, the segment was responsible for generating more than 304.1 thousand jobs to the country and for capitalizing more than R$ 16 billion in revenue to public coffers municipal, state and Union.
For Ronaldo Koloszuk, president of the board of directors at ABSOLAR, the accelerated growth of solar energy is a global trend. The executive also remembers that until 2017 to the large solar plants had a very small participation in the national electricity matrix.
Currently, the Large photovoltaic plants total more than 10 GW of operational capacity. Only in the first semester, more than 60 enterprises entered commercial operation in the country.
“Brazil has one of the best solar resources on the planet, which opens up a huge possibility for the production of the cheapest green hydrogen in the world and the development of new synergistic technologies, such as energy storage and electric vehicles,” said Koloszuk.
