Brazil lives in 2022 O best year in the history of solar energy, with significant growth not only in the volume of installed power, but also in the number of UCs (consumer units) that receive credits from connections linked to the electricity segment. G.D. (distributed generation).
Data collected by Canal Solar, based on information from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), show that the sector's growth is already directly reflected in municipal indices, with ten cities accounting for at least 10 thousand UCs in operation.
For comparison purposes, in December last year there were three Brazilian cities that had reached this mark: Florianópolis-SC; Campo Grande-MS and Teresina-PI. I.e, in 2022 seven municipalities surpass the barrier of 10 thousand consumer units.
Currently, Brazil has more than 1.88 million UCs in the self-generation segment in 5,716 of the 5,770 existing Brazilian municipalities. In total, only 56 cities in the country do not have any photovoltaic consumer units in operation.
