A Gecex Resolution No. 535/2023, published today (21) in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union), revokes ex-tariffs for 60 photovoltaic inverters. This resolution did not bring about any revocation of ex-tariffs for photovoltaic solar modules.
The decision to revoke the inverters was motivated by the indication of low usage, according to an assessment carried out by the MDIC (Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade). Revocations take effect from 01/21/2024
“In this resolution we did not have any revocation of ex-tariffs for photovoltaic solar modules. As INEL has announced, transition proposals continue to be discussed with MDIC/SDIC/DIAM and module revocations should only occur after these definitions”, informed Wladimir Janousek, Secretary of Industry and Commerce at INEL (National Institute of Energy Clean).
According to INEL, the transition proposals for these modules are still in the discussion phase with the MDIC, Secretariat for Development and Industrial Competitiveness SDIC and the Department of International Relations and Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economy DIAM.
The decision not to revoke ex-tariffs for photovoltaic modules highlights the complexity of the ongoing discussions, which seek a consensus on transition proposals with the aim of balancing the sector's development with international competitiveness.
