A Genyx Solar Power announced a partnership with SolaX Power for supply of hybrid inverters It is lithium batteries in Brazil. The first shipment from China arrives in October this year.

“The novelty will contribute to developing and improving the renewable energy system, such as solar and wind, ensuring supply stability and protecting companies and homes from unforeseen interruptions,” he said. André Hipólito, chief product officer at Genyx.

According to the director, the agreement is just the beginning of a partnership that could evolve into the entire range of products supplied by SolaX, such as vehicle chargers.

“We entered into a partnership with SolaX by anticipating, through our curation system, future needs of the Brazilian system. We feel demand, but we also want to create demand”, he added.

Advantages of batteries

The company pointed out that lithium batteries offer greater storage capacity, extended useful life and guaranteed superior performance, as well as having a balanced composition between lithium, iron and phosphate, and guarantee greater stability and reduce dependence on lithium alone.

Another highlighted point is that such equipment has the advantage of being reused for other applications, even after complete use and the reduction in load retention.

The product uses the same technology already used in EVs (electric vehicles), demonstrating its potential to drive the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources in different sectors.

According to the company, this technology costs around R$ 15 thousand and has a ten-year warranty. “These are products that can be installed outside the electricity grid, such as rural areas, guaranteeing security and fast communication connections”, stated Hipólito.

Gilberto Camargos, Country Manager at SolaX Power, commented that to save money during periods of the day when the cost of electricity is higher, customers usually activate diesel generators, as it is cheaper than consuming energy from the utility company.

“However, the operating cost of the generator, be it fuel and maintenance, no longer makes sense when replaced by a sustainable one. The batteries have approximately 15 years of useful life and can be used with renewable energy instead of burning fossil fuels”, he concluded.
