Do you know what shared solar energy generation is, what advantages it presents and how it can be used in your home or business? Canal Solar explains it to you!
What is shared generation?
This is a type of DG (distributed generation), created in 2015 by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) through REN 687 (Normative Resolution 687/2015), which enables the sharing of mini and microgeneration energy between consumers who are in the same concession area.
This generation model is of interest to many consumers with the aim of investing in the self-production of electrical energy using alternative energy sources, precisely because of the economic and sustainable factor for individuals and legal entities.
How can I use shared energy?
Shared energy can be used by a group of individuals or legal entities (CPF or CNPJ) through a consortium or cooperative in locations served by the same energy distribution network.
Requirements
- Meeting of two or more consumers
- Person or entity
- Within the same concession or permission area
- Through consortium or cooperative
- Have a consumer unit with distributed micro or mini generation
- Generation location different from where excess energy will be compensated
Benefits
Shared generation offers practicality and solutions that are not in a suitable state for installation. Furthermore, check out other advantages that the modality presents below:
- Security
The equipment used has high durability and greater economic advantage, presenting no surprises in the amount spent on consumption.
- Economy
Energy through shared generation guarantees a financial return, being paid over a period of time determined by the energy system itself.
In other words, during its useful life, generally 25 years, such high savings are possible that the acquisition value is paid off before it is necessary to install a new system.
- Loss reduction
An energy credit system with the local concessionaire becomes possible, that is, there is a relationship between the consumer and the company that contributes to the shared costs of materials and labor. In this way, expenses are distributed.
- Reduction of environmental impacts
Preservation of the environment is a consequence of this DG model. Energy production is environmentally friendly, clean and inexhaustible, encouraging sustainability.
