A Cesama (Municipal Sanitation Company) joined to the model of shared generation as an alternative to units operating low tension of the PJF (Juiz de Fora City Hall) and may result in a reduction of 21.5% in account of light, from June.

The process was started at the end of 2023 and can generate a economy annual R$ 1.5 million for Cesama.

“Currently, we have 184 water and 15 sewage lifts, of these 199 operational units, only 24 are of medium voltage which, despite being in less quantity, consume a lot more energy”, said the engineer. 

A forecast is to implement the model in all units in average voltage until 2025. With this change, the impact in the accounts in light of the company “will be even more significant”, added Queiroz.
