A 20th edition of the Regional Distributed Generation Forum, in the region Midwest, there is already a date for it to happen: it will be between the days August 9th and 10th, at the Goiânia Convention Center, in Goiás.
Organized by FRG Media & Events Group and promoted by ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation), the event will bring important debates about the region's DG sector, where business opportunities will be demonstrated, in addition to the challenges faced by the segment.
Tiago Fraga, CEO of the FRG Mídias & Eventos Group, explains that the Forum aims to reinforce the importance of distributed generation for reducing electricity bills, as well as the energy transition.
“The event is represented in Goiânia, on the 9th and 10th. It turns the Brazilian capital of Goiás into the capital of distributed energy generation with renewable sources, which is a key that we like to press a lot. Since Brazil is a country of continental dimensions, we work by regions because each region has its own skills” points out Fraga.
It is worth highlighting that together, the four states in the Central-West region are currently responsible for 3.4 GW of installed power in distributed generation, according to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).
ABGD's expectation, in turn, is that power will increase even further in the coming years, ending 2023 with 26 GW on the network.
