GECEX (Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Commerce) published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union), Resolutions no. 282/2021 It is 283/2021, which deal with inclusions and revocations of ex-tariffs.

The resolutions were published on December 21st last year and grant tax exemption for the import of solar panels, photovoltaic inverters and trackers, among other BK (Capital Goods) and BIT (IT and Telecommunications Goods) equipment.

Lucas Angelo, operations manager at the company Fusion Trade Participação, clarifies that “all ex-tariffs granted based on GECEX Resolutions nº 14 and 15, of February 19, 2020, are already scheduled to have their validity periods extended until 31 December 2025”.

He further explains that for ex-tariffs that were requested before this, it will be necessary to request an extension. For those who requested exemption after February 19, 2021, it clarifies that their ex-tariff will be automatically renewed.
