One of main companies in the sector of logistics and transport from Brazil, the Rodonaves Group, is investing in renewable sources to increase the efficiency of your operations.

A company it achieved reduce 450 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to 2.7 thousand trees planted. This happened thanks to 88% of its operations being powered by purchasing energy in the ACL (Free Contracting Environment), in addition to its own photovoltaic generation systems.

Within the company's ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) strategy, six units in the state of Sao Paulo work within the ACL. Two of them are located in Ribeirão Preto, two others in the capital, in addition to Americana and Campinas.

This year, the São José dos Pinhais unit, in greater Curitiba, will also begin to receive energy through renewable sources purchased from the ACL.

“All of our initiatives have an International Renewable Energy Certificate, the I-REC, which proves that the energy we consume is obtained from a renewable source. This is one of the ways we contribute to the environment. Today, we already have solar energy panels in operation in different states of the country, such as Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, as well as the Federal District”, explains Oswaldo Maia, director of people and management at Rodonaves Group.

Other sustainable measures

The group also invests in projects to reuse water in units that have vehicle washers to clean trucks.

This system is in practice in several cities in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul.
