Three-time Roland Garros champion and one of the biggest names in Brazilian sport, former tennis player Gustavo Kuerten has become the newest ambassador for photovoltaic equipment distributor Aldo Solar.

The number 1 in the world for 43 weeks, will lend his image to help promote the solar energy segment in the country and contribute to the future of the sport.

The figure of the Brazilian idol will also be used for the company's marketing actions with more than 13 thousand resellers and installers across the country.

Aldo Teixeira, founder and president of Aldo Solar, explains that the partnership meets the expectations of the institution's sustainability program to promote the sustainable growth of solar sources in Brazil.

“We want to make a positive impact on society and support Brazilian sport, with special attention to tennis, one of our great passions. Big dreams can come true with the right partnerships and imbued with good will and dedication”, he commented.

Kuerten, in turn, highlighted that the partnership will be an important source of encouragement to make tennis a more inclusive sport with opportunities for everyone. “Teaming up with Aldo Solar brings extra motivation and inspiration in the name itself, from my father, the biggest idol and the first visionary in our family who was able to see in the first few racquets all the success that would lie ahead”, he said.

Encouragement for Brazilian tennis

Throughout its history, Aldo Solar has also been notable for investing in social projects for Brazilian tennis, supporting promising athletes, foundations and future generations of tennis players. For almost three years, the company has supported the Guga Kuerten Institute, a non-profit civil association, which aims to guarantee social inclusion opportunities for children, adolescents and people with disabilities.

Aldo also sponsors tennis player Marcelo Demoliner, one of the best in doubles in Brazil, in addition to the Rede Tênis Brasil project, which seeks to introduce the sport to underprivileged children, train teachers and coaches, and support academies and training sites in the country. “Teaming up with Aldo Solar brings extra motivation and inspiration in the name itself, from my father, the biggest idol and the first visionary in our family who was able to see in his first racquets all the success that lay ahead”, he commented.
