A Jinko Solar announced news for the photovoltaic market. This is the new Tiger Neo, which has 620 W of power, ultra-high conversion efficiency of up to 22.30% and adopts N-type TOPCon technology.

“Jinko’s N-type technology provides, for example, around 5% to 6% more efficiency than mono PERC and around 3% to 4% more power generation,” the manufacturer said in a note.

Produced from 182mm wafers, Tiger Neo panels feature Multi-Busbar (MBB) and half-cut design to reduce internal resistance loss.

Furthermore, the company highlighted that the module has a lower temperature coefficient of -0.30%/℃ compared to -0.35%/℃ for the P-type, which makes it more durable to withstand extreme and high-temperature environments.

“The global photovoltaic market is entering a new era at unprecedented speed. The need to address different electricity application scenarios and the urgency of the government and various industries for energy transformation have raised the demand for solar to a new level,” said Kangping Chen, CEO of Jinko Solar.

“The new Tiger Neo flagship series is designed to meet the needs of large-scale utilities, industrial and commercial distributed generation, and residential applications. Through the advantages of TOPCon type N technology, customers can invest in more efficient, reliable and profitable photovoltaic systems,” he highlighted.

Jinko expects to deliver more than 1 GW in Brazil

Jinko also announced that it expects to deliver 1 GW of photovoltaic modules in the country by the end of this year, of which approximately 90% for DG (distributed generation). The volume represents a growth of 100% compared to 2020.

A market study by Greener, for example, identified 427 MWp imported from the company to serve the DG segment in Brazil in the first half of 2021.

Polysilicon Production Line

The company also announced that it plans to invest RMB 450 million in equity in Sichuan Yongxiang Energy Technology, a subsidiary of Tongwei. The investment will be used to build a high-purity polysilicon production line with an annual capacity of 100 thousand tons.

“With this new line of clean, high-quality and highly reliable raw materials, we will be able to ensure the long-term reliability of our wafer and module production for years to come,” Chen emphasized.

“In addition, we also realize that the healthy and sustainable development of the photovoltaic industry increasingly depends on in-depth cooperation between supply chain partners. By leveraging Tongwei's leading high-purity polysilicon production capabilities, we will be able to fully realize the potential of our integrated in-house production of silicon wafers, cells and modules,” he concluded.
