A Kehua launched during SNEC PV Power Expo 2023, which took place in Shanghai, China, the liquid cooled energy storage system S³- EStore ESS.

According to the company, such solution is considered the highest power density in the world, intended for C&I customers (commercial and industrial).

“The system adopts a multi-level protection design, supporting both PACK and system-level fire protection. The online insulation monitoring function is also available to protect the product,” said the manufacturer.

Furthermore, they highlighted that thermal management can be easily achieved through liquid cooling technology. “Cluster-level balance management technology greatly improves available capacity throughout the battery life cycle.”

The entire system covers an area of 1.3 m² with high power density, as well as supporting modular combination to meet the needs of diverse C&I project scenarios in the market.

Utility Services

The utility solutions on display consisted of the Kehua S³ liquid-cooled energy storage system, 3.34 MW/5 MW modular inverter-booster, one of the world's highest power 350 kW string inverters, and EMS management platform intelligent.

“The storage system features an advanced safety design, which includes three levels of fire protection, three levels of explosion proof and three levels of insulation,” the company noted.

This approach, according to Kehua, guarantees the operational security of the system in different scenarios. Furthermore, the system is designed to effectively reduce energy consumption during operation, allowing it to adapt to a wide range of environments and needs.

Launched in 2021, the Kehua 350 kW inverter has global shipments that have exceeded 2 GW, with photovoltaic power projects in Yunnan and Hainan already in operation.

C&I Applications

For C&I applications, Kehua said it can provide a full suite of solutions and services, including C&I photovoltaic inverters, energy storage converters, charging stacks and intelligent EMS management platforms.

SPI series C&I inverter, with optional IP66+C5 protection, can operate stably without worrying about harsh environments. It can also support multiple modes such as peak-to-valley arbitrage and demand management to earn multiple profits and ensure maximum project revenue.

Zero carbon residential solutions

According to the company, the zero-carbon residential solution provides users with a safe and reliable system to improve energy generation efficiency and achieve better energy lifecycle cost.

“The Kehua iStoragE series all-in-one residential ESS adopts a modular design with flexible battery configuration. The integrated design of PV and ESS, for example, can realize 100% self-consumption and reduce electricity bills,” they emphasized.

The Kehua iStoragE series has won two of the world's three biggest industrial design awards: the IDEA Award in 2021 and the IF Design Award in 2022.
