The manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters KSTAR and the battery manufacturer CATL have completed the construction of two new energy storage factories in the Xiapu Economic Development Zone in Fujian, China.
According to the companies, together the two manufacturing units have an annual production capacity of 1 GW.
Still according to the manufacturers, the two factories created more than 600 new jobs for the local community.
In addition, they have two production lines for PCS energy storage equipment, two for charging lines and an additional line for battery assembly. To build the factories, the two companies established the joint venture CATL-KSTAR Science & Technology.
According to the manufacturers, the partnership aims to design high-quality storage systems to serve the international solar market.
Furthermore, the companies highlight that the creation of new factories will increase the sustainable production of energy storage systems around the world, due to the growth of the global market.
Also according to the companies, the association uses advanced technologies to maximize electricity generation and all products are integrated with a CATL battery and KSTAR inverter.
