A collegiate board of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Tuesday (14), the draft of the Auction notice no. 1/2023, for the construction of 6,184 km of transmission lines and 400 MVA in substation transformation capacity.

In total, the estimated investments are in the order of R$ 15.8 billion and the expectation is that they will be 29,400 jobs created. According to the technical areas involved, the auction will probably attract the largest amount of contributions ever achieved by an event of its kind promoted by the Agency.

The auction is scheduled for June 30, 2023 at B3's headquarters, in São Paulo. The projects, with a completion period of 36 to 66 months, will cover the following states: Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Sergipe.

The draft notice and documentation relating to the six lots were subject to public consultation from 12/01/22 to 01/16/23. Of the 237 contributions received, the technical areas suggested accepting, in full or in part, 142 contributions.

The text approved by ANEEL will be submitted for consideration by the Federal Court of Auditors in the next few days. The notice is expected to be approved by the ANEEL board in May 2023, including any adjustments suggested by the TCU. A technical clarification workshop on the main points of the event is scheduled for May 19th.
