Light for All receives investment of R$ 482 million

O Light for All program, in Maranhão, received investments of R$ 482 million which will benefit almost 10 thousand consumer units.

O Light for All focuses on combat energy poverty and democratize access to electrical energy, through renewable sources.

In twenty years O program has already served 3.4 million families or 17 million people, in national territory. In Maranhão, specifically, 375 thousand consumer units have already been affected, which corresponds to 1.7 million people.

O term of commitment for the expansion of Luz para Todos was signed on the 21st, during the event MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) and has the function of serve 99% of families in municipalities in Maranhão. 

At this same event there was construction announcement of Graça Aranha, renewable energy receiving hub which will have the function of increasing the energy interconnection capacity between the Northeast and Central-West regions. States such as Maranhão, Tocantins and Goiás will receive the transmission lines.

O Maranhão will receive the construction of 602 km of these lines, what will cross 14 municipalities com o investment of R$ 9 billion. The hub is the result of transmission auctions held between 2023 and 2024, which contracted around R$ 60 billion in works.
