Currently, Brazil occupies third place in renewable energy

MUNICH, GERMANY. Concern about climate issues, sustainability and the increase in the price of fossil sources have driven the solar technology market.

This year, exhibitors present technologies and solutions that seek to accelerate the climate transition. Brazil has increasingly become an attractive spot for investors in the sector.

Electric mobility, green hydrogen and agrivoltaic systems are just some of the examples that fair visitors can see when it comes to sustainable technology.

Currently, the population in Europe is experiencing a wave of exorbitant increases in energy and fuel tariffs. Post-pandemic consequences worsened by the war in Ukraine, which intensely affected the “Achilles heel” of countries like Germany; dependence on gas from Russia.

The situation has driven the search for photovoltaic systems, for domestic use, and electric cars, investments that will have a guaranteed return.

The German government has been seeking to produce public policies that can encourage the population to participate in the climate transition. To this end, the government grants subsidies to those who wish to install photovoltaic systems or pays part of the cost when purchasing an electric car, as France has done. .

However, to meet this growing need, it is necessary for companies in the renewable energy sectors to develop products, services and technologies that can meet this demand.

In the corridors of Intersolar Europe 2022 it is possible to see how companies have worked hard to offer options to the market that can help accelerate Europe's decarbonization goal.

Brazil in focus

The photovoltaic market has been spreading more and more in Brazil, and it is a fact that the country has excellent and favorable conditions to be a reference in the photovoltaic sector.

The second day of Intersolar brought the conference “Discover new opportunities for the growing PV market in Brazil – Storage and Green Hydrogen”, where speakers from Brazil presented the continuous development of the sector within the country.

Rodrigo Sauaia, president of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), spoke about investment opportunities in Brazil and presented data showing that the country has increasingly risen in the sustainable development ranking.

Currently, Brazil ranks third in renewable energy, second in biomass and hydroelectric energy, after China, and ranks seventh in the wind energy sector. In the photovoltaic sector, the country is in thirteenth place, rising increasingly in the world ranking.

Also at the event were Luana Lima, representing the Brazil – Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fernando Passalio de Avelar, Secretary of State for Economic Development of Minas Gerais, as well as Markus Vlasits, director and partner of NewCharge.

Innovative technology in the corridors of Intersolar Europe 2022

The photovoltaic market has been growing worldwide, the success of the fair and the number of people interested in services and products in the sector are proof of this. During the event, it was possible to come across visitors who were looking for systems for residential use and had the opportunity to learn about technologies that meet domestic and industrial needs.

Portable photovoltaic batteries and modules have increasingly come into use. Some stands presented this type of system that offers a power of 300W to 600W in battery, and from 110W to 400W of capacity in solar modules. This type of equipment can be easily used on trips, camping or even for residential use in small appliances.

Exhibitors also present monitoring solutions for photovoltaic systems. Equipment that allows, through cameras, robotic arms and thermometers, to check for damage to the plates, look for the best position to make the most of sunlight, as well as temperature monitoring.

Jinko Solar expands product range and launches storage equipment and hybrid inverters

Initially, the company starts in the area of storage for domestic use, offering units with capacities from 7.1 kilowatt-hours to 21.31 kilowatt-hours and a warranty of up to 10 years. The battery is also compatible with inverters from other manufacturers such as Goodwe, Solis, Luxpower and Sunways, for example. The novelty, however, is not manufactured by Jinko itself, but by a third-party company that produces the equipment with the company's logo.
