You projects of electrical energy transmission infrastructure bid on the second broadcast auction of 2023 for the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) were framed in Reidi (Special Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development).
The decision takes place one month after the signing of the concession contracts and is included in the SNTEP Ordinance No. 2,770 (National Secretariat for Energy Transition and Planning) of the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), published this Friday (17) on GIVE (Official Diary of the Union).
In practice, this allows these enterprises get it suspend PIS/Pasep and COFINS contributions for five years, referring to the acquisitions, rentals and imports of goods and services.
According to the MME, the Reidi contributes to reducing tariffs paid by consumers and stimulates private investment in areas such as energy and other sectors related to infrastructure.
Altogether, expected R$ 21.7 billion investments in the interconnection of the system and the flow of surplus energy produced by renewable sources in the Northeast to the rest of the country.
“Our estimate is that, until 2027, to the renewable energy from the Northeast region contribute to the addition of 13,328 MW to installed capacity from our YES (National Interconnected System), consolidating the region as a vector of security and energy transition”, said the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira.
The auction
The MME ordinance occurred after the signing of the concession contracts resulting from the second transmission auction of 2023, which was held at the end of last year by ANEEL.
O contest had as its object the construction of 4,471 km of transmission lines and substations with the ability to transform 9,840 MVA, located in states of Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Tocantins.
The projects will reinforce the electrical infrastructure for the flow of renewable energy from the Northeast to the rest of the country.
