To supply the demand for electrical components in the photovoltaic market, the MTR Solar closed one partnership with the company ABB Electrification for the supply of equipment that has the capacity to assemble 400 MW in distribution panels.
“MTR intensified its purchases and programming with internal and external suppliers this year, including ABB, to boost sales with deals that reach 1.5 GW in solar equipment for the DG market this year,” said Thiago Rios, CEO of MTR Solar.
“We are prepared and have several competitive differentiators and disruptive equipment in our portfolio, such as our Electrocenter known in the market as skids, which can be assembled in record time in our factory within 90 days, varying its power from 1000 to 5000 kVA according to the customer’s needs”, he highlighted.
MTR Solar focuses on meeting all plant project specifications. In 2023, more than R$ 50 million will be invested in developing products and solutions for large plant projects.
Offices in Chile and Colombia are scheduled to open in the first half of the year, and the company already has an office in Mexico with support from specialists in the sector and sales of equipment.
In 2022, MTR invested in two joint ventures dedicating all of the factories' production to the company's projects: for the manufacture of fixed structures, trackers and medium voltage skids, both with factories in the city of Juiz de Fora (MG).
MTR VOLTS is the division responsible for supplying equipment for the electrical part of the solar plant, created from a joint venture with ITCE, a manufacturer of skids and electrical panels with extensive operations in the photovoltaic market.
“We are investing in a research and development center so that the structural solution increasingly adheres to the reality of projects in Brazil”, commented Rios.
“In addition to the promulgation of the GD Legal Framework, the price of electricity tends to continue rising in 2023 and the expansion of our market is expected to grow even more in 2023. It will be an excellent year with a lot of expansion in the photovoltaic sector and our revenue projections for the 2022/23 biennium they are around R$ 1.5 billion”, revealed the executive.
