A MTR Solar signed a agreement strategic US$ 5 million (R$ 25.9 million) with the Sungrow to the purchase of 200 MW of the new 250 kW inverters of the brand, intended for G.D. (distributed generation). The equipment will arrive in Brazil in the second half of this year.
The new Sungrow SG250HX-20 photovoltaic inverter It works with a three-phase output voltage of 800 Vac and has the ability to sustain nominal power of 250 kW at 40ºC, reaching 275 kW in temperature conditions of up to 35°C. Furthermore, the equipment has an operating current of 65A per MPPT.
With the partnership signed, Sungrow and MTR claim to be aligned with GD's growth trends in Brazil. Thiago Rios, CEO of MTR, explains that the agreement is part of the company's strategic planning for the years 2024 and 2025.
“Our customers will be the biggest beneficiaries, as in addition to high-quality inverters, they will be able to count on commissioning carried out by the Sungrow team itself, advantages in the warranty extension and different deadlines in post-sales dealings”, he commented.
In 2023, the MTR Solar surpassed the mark 1.5 GW in solar equipment sold, a growth of 45% compared to the same period of the previous year.
