Betting on the growth of the electric mobility market in Brazil, the Pacto Energia Group bought Techview’s electric charger factory for R$ 10 million, located in Itajaí (SC). The group also plans invest over R$ 6 million in the production and installation of 100 charging stations for electric vehicles.

Pacto Energia already operates in the energy and telecom sectors and in 2022 it expanded the business with the acquisition of the dealership Forcel, which operates in Paraná. According to the company's CEO, Rodrigo Pedroso, the acquisition of Techwiew arose precisely from a difficulty the company had last year in charging the fleet of electric vehicles in the energy distributor's concession area.

“When we looked for a solution, we identified Tecview. At first it was more about solving the charging infrastructure problems, then we saw a great opportunity in the market and decided to buy the factory”.

Pacto Mobility was created with the aim of being an electromobility platform, including offering a subscription charging service (charge as service). Subscribers will have access to the entire charging network, including additional services such as subscription-based electricity, distributed generation and energy efficiency.

“Our biggest differentiator is the fact that this new company is connected to an economic group that is operating across the entire energy transition value chain,” said Pedroso. “We guarantee that all the energy used will be produced by renewable sources through our plants”.

The 100 charging stations will be installed on ten of the largest highways in Brazil, such as Castelo Branco, Anhanguera, Bandeirantes and Rio Santos. Operations are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Even with a small production capacity, the factory is equipped with national technology and is able to produce quick recharging stations at a lower cost when compared to imported equipment. According to Pedroso, each unit costs R$ 60 thousand.

Brazilian fleet

According to ABVE (Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association), the electric vehicle fleet in Brazil totaled 126,504 units. In 2022, 42,245 units were registered, an increase of 43% compared to the previous year.
