A RZK Energy and the FIT Energy – an arm of Santander bank – closed a partnership long-term for installation, operation and maintenance of 13 DG plants (distributed generation) until the end of 2025, being 12 energy solar It is one of biogas, totaling 40 MW of installed power.

In total, it is estimated that the operation will generate more than R$ 800 million by 2045 through shared DG, serving around 20 thousand homes and small businesses.

O allocation contract will have term of 22 years in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Paraná, Ceará, Piauí, Mato Grosso, in addition to the Federal District.

A RZK Energy, which operates in renewable generation, commercialization and solutions in the energy market, will be responsible for the installation and operation of the assets, while the FIT Energy will manage the energy that will be produced for its physical and corporate customers, in partnership with Santander.

“This is planning with operational scale gain and which we have been implementing since last year in an attempt to make the energy transition and sustainability increasingly accessible to people and companies in all regions of the country”, said Luiz Serrano , CEO of RZK Energia.

Bruno Menezes, CEO of FIT Energia, highlights that the partnership signed seeks to consolidate the company's position as one of the relevant players in the sector, especially after the recent acquisition of its controlling interest by the Spanish bank.

“After the entry of Santander, we have expanded our capacity to offer renewable energy, investing in long-term contracts”, highlighted the executive.

Democratization

Both Serrano and Menezes point out that Brazil is currently experiencing a “irreversible trend” market opening and decentralization of energy supply through the growing supply of generation based on renewable sources, especially solar energy.

For executives, the business model Shared DG plays a crucial role in democratizing access to clean energy, mainly for consumers who are unable to install solar panels or migrate to the Free Energy Market.

“In this context, partnerships like ours are essential to provide these consumers from various states with the opportunity to produce their own energy in a shared way. This allows them to consume renewable energy and save without investments or worries”, stated the CEO of FIT.
