Minas Gerais solar park will receive R$ 100 million from Sudene

A Sudene (Northeast Development Superintendence), approved one financing in the order of R$ 100 million for continuity of solar park works Jaíba CE Renewable Energy.

Localized in Jaíba, in the north of Minas Gerais, O enterprise will have a total investment of R$ 166.6 million, already counting the R$ 100 million granted by the municipality through the FDNE (Northeast Development Fund). 

The new photovoltaic plant will consist of 32 generators of 1,689 kW each, resulting in an installed power of 40,000 kW. O park is part of the Sol de Jaíba Complex, an initiative from Auren Energia. 

The company plans to invest R$ 2.1 billion in the project, which could generate 516 MWac and 632 MWp, equivalent to the consumption of more than 500 thousand homes.

The municipality of Jaíba, in fact, has stood out in attracting renewable energy generation projects. 

In addition to the Sol de Jaíba Complex, a Vale project is being installed, called Sol do Cerrado, which has an investment of R$ 3 billion and is considered one of the largest in the country.

Construction of the Auren Energia project began in December 2022. With the financing granted, the project is expected to come into operation in the first quarter of next year. 

With 1.4 million modules, Sol do Cerrado has 100% in operation in MG
