Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, another company in the solar sector proved to be resilient and showed an increase in profits in 2020.

According to the co-founder of PHB Eletrônica, Ildo Bet, the company achieved revenue growth of 20% last year.

During participation in the podcast Sun Talk, the executive commented that they had good financial results, but made a reservation regarding the lack of photovoltaic equipment.

“Our market was affected a little due to the pandemic. These last two months have shown that the sector is not yet at full steam”, pointed out Bet.

“Once this shortage of products in the world, regarding modules, glass and aluminum, for example, we will be able to deliver in a much shorter timeframe”, he reported. “Currently, our shipping period is five days. The goal is to reach two,” he added.

According to him, what has been helping to alleviate problems related to deliveries is the company's new DC (Distribution Center), located in Barueri (SP). “This is bringing us a big difference in terms of having better logistics and delivering in a shorter period of time.”

Resolution 482

Another point highlighted by the expert throughout the podcast was the resolution 482. “The technical staff at ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) are on our side. The problem is political.”

“The [energy] distributors have their reasons, we have ours. I can say that, mainly, they didn't put our benefits on the bill. There was only one situation in which we use the wire and don't pay. I mean, it's not quite like that, right? We also have a lot of positive things for the planet, for the environment”, highlighted the co-founder of PHB.

The executive stated that his position regarding 482 is that the sector should wait a little longer for the solar penetration rate to be higher, at least 5% or perhaps even 10%.

“We are actively participating and cooperating with resources so that associations, such as ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy) and ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation), for example, can do their work”, he commented.

“The PHB is in favor of giving it more time as the rule stands today. This 'child' is crawling, has started to speak and is learning to write, so we have to let him become an adult”, he concluded.
