The state of Piauí, through the Piauí Development and Promotion Agency, has been offering a line of financing since the beginning of the year for small and medium-sized companies to install photovoltaic systems. The target audience for this line are individuals and legal entities, including rural producers, individual microentrepreneurs (MEI), microenterprises (ME) and small businesses (EPP).
The agency's president, Cezar Fortes, highlights that, following guidance from the State Government, the agency began this new mode of operation in January this year, financing the implementation of solar panels for the production and consumption of clean energy in locations with productive and economic activities.
An example of a project using this line is Pousada da Barra, in the district of Barra Grande, located in the municipality of Cajueiro da Praia. 20 solar panels were installed in less than 15 days. The investment was R$ 35 thousand, which will be paid over three years.
