O Federal government launched, this Wednesday (03), the Harvest Plan 2024/2025. The ad brings release record of approximately R$ 476 billion in credit lines for ofnational agriculture and livestock sector. In the previous cycle, R$ 435.8 billion were disbursed.
The new edition of the program was once again divided into two fronts: one facing the family farming and another for the business sector.
In the morning, approximately R$ 76 billion for small producers – an increase of 6,15% compared to last year, when R$ 71.6 billion was made available.
During the afternoon, more than R$ 400 billion for the business sector. The amount exceeds by approximately 10% what was disbursed in the 2023/24 Harvest Plan.
Funds for family farming are the responsibility of the Ministry of Agrarian Development, while the amount to be allocated to medium and large rural producers is the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
Solar energy
Thereresource release also will help boost the market for solar energy in family farming, as provided for in one of the financing lines of the new Safra Plan.
Through the Pronaf Bioeconomy, resources will be allocated to the acquisition of photovoltaic systems and other sustainable technologies, with investment rates reduced from 4% to 3% per year in relation to the last edition of the program.
At the business segment, one of the highlights related to the photovoltaic sector is the Renovagro – program that aims to grant credit for investments that promote the reduction of toxic gas emissions in the countryside.
Through it, it will be possible to finance systems for generating renewable energy and other sustainable practices, such as the recovery of degraded areas and pastures, among others. A interest rate will be 7% per year.

Rural properties
