Três Passos City Hall (RS) installs solar energy in 18 municipal schools

The project had an investment of R$ 950.1 thousand and expects a return on investment in up to seven years

The Municipality of Três Passos (RS) completed a project to install solar energy panels in 18 municipal schools, ten of which are Early Childhood Education and eight are Elementary Schools.

The measure aims to reduce environmental impacts and generate savings in the municipal government's electricity consumption. The total investment to install the technology was R$ 950.1 thousand.

The implementation of the solar systems was carried out in conjunction with Cemacon Central de Materials de Construção LTDA – the company that won the bid.

The projection of the Rio Grande do Sul city hall is that the amount invested in the city's schools will return to the public coffers in less than seven years.

  • Early Childhood Education Schools: Professor José Luis Rhoden, Guia Lopes, Coroinha Daronchi, Ildo Meneghetti, Dom João Becker, José de Anchieta, João Padilha do Nascimento Civic-Military School, Gonçalves Dias, Wally Elisa Hartmann, July 25th.
  • Elementary Schools: Colored Pencils, First Steps, Dona Wanda, Grandma Paulina, Cinderella, Junior Citizen, Elso Severgnini, Aunt Mercedes.
