The inverter manufacturer Solis achieved, in the 1st half of this year, revenue of RMB 1.454 billion (US$ 225 million*), an increase of 99.8% compared to the previous year, according to the financial statement published by the company this week.
According to the manufacturer, production and sales volumes drove the increase in revenue. In total, the company produced more than 361,400 inverters and sold around 338,300 in the first six months of 2021.
According to the company, sales volume was not affected by the shortage of inputs due to good planning.
“The inverter industry faced the problem of chip shortages in 2021. To resolve this, the company signed agreements well in advance to increase the inventory level of IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) components, so that the supply of raw material prima was guaranteed”, highlighted Solis in a press release.

The report also showed that the manufacturer's inverter exports in the 1st half reached an increase of 61.38% compared to the previous year, around RMB 1.295 billion (US$ 200 million*) only in on-grid inverters (connected to the grid).
In inverters in the energy storage segment, Solis' revenue reached RMB 66 million (US$ 10.2 million*), a year-on-year increase of 642.26%. To access the full report Click here.
