Rede de drogaria do RJ inaugura usina solar para gerar economia

After inaugurating its first solar plant at the beginning of this year, located in Barra do Piraí (RJ), the Drogaria Venancio chain is planning to set up its second photovoltaic plant in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

The network's first plant is generating energy to initially supply around 50 physical stores and should bring savings of 20% on the electricity bill. Created by the company América, in partnership with Gera Energia, the project involved the installation of 11,040 335 W modules

Currently, the chain has 90 stores spread across different neighborhoods of the city and in other municipalities such as Niterói, Duque de Caxias, Nova Iguaçu and Itaipava.

Armando Ahmed, president of Drogaria Venancio, highlights that the investment contributes to the generation of jobs in the state where the pharmacy chain's activities predominate.

Furthermore, the executive highlights that investing in a clean, less polluting renewable source is a way to offset the significant increase in electricity rates and, consequently, reduce the electricity bill.

“We are always looking for ways to become increasingly sustainable and this new project represents a lot for us. We will be able to reduce costs and will also contribute to the production of clean energy. Being more environmentally conscious is part of our purpose”, he commented.
