Renovigi Energia Solar donated a photovoltaic generator to the Gaditas Project, which offers free jiu-jitsu education to 200 needy children in Porto Alegre. According to the manufacturer of photovoltaic systems, the social institution has already reduced its electricity bill: from R$ 900 per month, the value has dropped to R$ 250.

The donated generator consists of 10 340W Risen modules and a 3kW Renovigi inverter. According to André Binz, manager of EnergiaEco, Renovigi's partner who carried out the installation free of charge, it generates, on average, 363 kWh per month.

Support for Gaditas is part of Renovigi's “Energy for Good” project, launched in 2018, and which aims to return part of the gains obtained by the company to society. Gaditas is one of 144 institutions that were supported by Renovigi in partnership with its accredited partners.

For Gustavo Müller Martins, chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Renovigi, the company's social commitment is “the essence of the brand”. He believes that social transformations occur through good actions.

“Our goal is to save lives. I want these children to have more opportunities in life through sport”, summarizes jiu-jitsu teacher Eduardo Oliveira, responsible for the project.

According to Oliveira, the beginning of the project was difficult, but today the dedication to the work carried out has borne fruit. Gaditas produced Brazilian and world champion athletes, and was recognized as the best kids team in Rio Grande do Sul by the 2016/2017 top ranking.

“Children and young people arrive here with their lives turned upside down, without hope, without dreams, with difficulties in their families. Gaditas doesn't give anything, we only activate what's inside them. That’s what they learn here”, concludes Oliveira.
