A Renovigi Solar Energy, manufacturer and distributor of photovoltaic equipment, and Caixa Econômica Federal signed an agreement to promote the solar energy market in Brazil.

The partnership aims to facilitate access to solar energy for residential and commercial customers and offers the possibility of financing of off-grid systems, extending to the agribusiness.

In addition, housing financing may also benefit from the agreement, following the registration condition of inclusion of solar panels in the property project.

According to Renato Scalabrin, Regional Superintendent of Caixa de Chapecó, “the bank seeks to be present in initiatives related to the development of our cities”.

The agreement allows the entry of equipment and services for the installation of photovoltaic systems into the financing line, with the only requirement being a single invoice.

Today, the company already has partnerships with the main financing institutions to expand the photovoltaic sector, such as Banco do Brasil, Santander, Itaú and Bradesco.

According to Renovigi, investment in solar energy has a return within two to five years, depending on the region of the country. In other words, during this period, the investment pays for itself with the savings obtained on the electricity bill.

Gustavo Martins, CEO of Renovigi, demonstrated high expectations for the future of the solar market, after the implementation of the agreement. “It is a real paradigm shift, because with solar energy the consumer has control and freedom over their electricity bill. Furthermore, it can reinject the surplus into the grid and also contribute to the environment by generating clean energy”, he stated.

Disbursement for payment is made monthly, via automatic debit, into the customer's account. The term is up to 60 months, with a grace period of up to 6 months for the first installment to be due, which can be amortized (interest reduction) or settled in advance at any time.

Rates for individuals or legal entities vary depending on the assessment in the credit analysis and the guarantees offered. For legal entities, whose financing line is called BDC Ecociência, the rate starts at 1.25% per month + TR (reference rate).

“The various lines of financing that exist today have made the option even more competitive, as the consumer does not even need to make the investment directly out of their own pocket and can still pay off the installments with savings on the electricity bill, without needing to decapitalize”, highlights Scalabrin .
