The states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná lead the ranking of new companies that migrated to the free market in the first half of this year. In total, there were 1,009 companies from São Paulo, 343 from Rio Grande do Sul and 236 from Paraná.

According to information from CCEE (Electricity Trading Chamber), most of the new points of consumption represent companies in the commerce, services and various manufacturing industries.

Talita Porto, vice-president of the CCEE Board of Directors, clarifies that the expansion of the free market in 2023 is faster across the country.

“These are consumers who are looking for more flexibility, attractive prices and, increasingly, want to choose to purchase renewable energy. These advantages explain the growing interest in the environment”, he assesses.
