O ESG and Sustainability Practice Executive Seminar will be held in Curitiba (PR), with free entry, targeting companies, government areas and students.
The event, which will take place on October 14, proposes updating participants on the topic and offering a new perspective on issues such as the environment and sustainability.
The program includes approaches to the following topics:
- Socio-environmental Ethics as a Foundation: from Vitruvian man to ecological humanity, taught by Architect André Turbay;
- Sustainability of Cities – Wood in the Construction of the Future, with engineer Silvio Magalhães Barros II;
- Basic Sanitation Conditions that avoid environmental damage, with professor Nicolau Leopoldo Obladen;
- ESG Strategic Management and the impact on business, by Roberto Roche;
- Perspectives on ESG in Industry, by Patrícia Martins and Aline Calefi Lima (from Sesi/PR);
- The impacts of applying the Social Seal in cities, with Fernando Assanti.
“These issues are not new, but it is necessary to give new attention and more care to this topic. We want to offer the opportunity to promote a favorable environment for the execution of social, environmental and governance practices in companies so that they can enter the ESG agenda”, explained the event coordinator, Bruno Kaesemodel.
In addition to the lectures, the seminar will feature three panels which will address the respective subjects: “ESG actions in the Government of the State of Paraná”, “Challenges and Perspectives of ESG Financing and Carbon Credits in the context of Green and Blue Economies” and “Infrastructure and the Environment”.
Also according to Kaesemodel, ESG practices (an acronym in English for “environmental, social and governance”, in Portuguese) make companies adapt to social and governmental aspects, in addition to the impact on cost reduction, through changes in organizational habits in relation to the environment.
