A Shell Brasil Renewables & Energy, company of Shell oil company focusing on energy transition and decarbonization, signed a commercial agreement to acquisition of the Prime group, which integrates the companies Prime Energy, Exata Energia and Ativa.
The group, headquartered in São Paulo (SP), has two sales companies and consultancy companies in Free Energy Market and DG (distributed generation) management, as well as a company focused on energy efficiency.
Canal Solar contacted Bernardo Marangon, partner at Exata Energia and teacher of Solar Channel that confirmed the transaction. The acquisition was published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) last Tuesday (27) and also depends on regulatory approvals. The transaction was also confirmed in a press release.
According to Shell Brasil Renewables & Energy, Prime Energy has a portfolio of customers and a network that will complement its Shell wholesale energy trading shares.
Today, the Energy group has one of the largest energy sales and consultancies in Brazil. Furthermore, it has a strong presence in the DG segment and is responsible for the energy management of companies with large consumption, which operate in the so-called free energy market, with clients such as Claro and Smartfit.
