A SMA will launch in Intersolar South America 2023, which will be held between the 29th and 31st of August at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo (SP), the single-phase hybrid inverter Sunny Boy Smart Energy.

The equipment, according to the company, has fast battery charging capacity, an advantage, especially in regions with frequent cloud cover.

“Electricity dependence is increasing around the world and SMA is committed to providing homes and professionals with electric mobility solutions and systems for a future-proof energy supply,” said Jan Van Laethem, Executive Vice President of SMA's domestic business segment.

“Our ever-expanding range of solutions aims to provide self-managed, environmentally friendly energy systems for homes around the world,” he highlighted.

Sunny Boy Smart Energy

According to the manufacturer, the Sunny Boy Smart Energy takes center stage as the all-in-one inverter for solar and storage systems. Three MPP trackers allow maximum use of the roof.

Furthermore, they stated that features such as low start-up voltage, the ability to take advantage of oversizing and SMA's integrated ShadeFix function ensure optimal solar yields, even in shaded areas.

Thanks to expandable backup options, additional power is also available during power grid failures. The solution is compatible with HV batteries from leading brands.

As a result of strict German design standards, the inverter has a 10-year warranty and is primarily available in the power classes: 3.6 / 4.0 / 5.0 / 6.0 kW. Higher power classes will come in 2024.

“The product design reduces inverter commissioning to a cover with a single central torsion switch. This saves time for installers and allows them to complete more projects. Commissioning the inverter and battery is very easy thanks to plug-and-play functionality with pre-assembled cables and the easy-to-use instructions of the SMA 360° app,” the company emphasized.

“Installers maintain system control with Sunny Portal, powered by ennexOS, while the homeowner can easily view and manage their energy flows with the intuitive SMA Energy App,” the company added.

Furthermore, they pointed out that SMA's service ensures that installers receive expert support from SMA's service line throughout the project lifecycle, eliminating the need for multiple points of contact.

To further empower installers, the SMA Solar Academy offers training, from the sales process to service provision.

Complete portfolio on display

The brand's products that will be on display at the stand, located on W3.30 street, Pavilhão Branco, include residential energy solutions: Sunny Boy Smart Energy, SMA Home Storage, EV Charger, Sunny Home Manager 2.0.

“But not only with hardware can photovoltaic energy be produced and managed efficiently. More and more software is gaining prominence in the sector. And proof of this are the four SMA APPs that will be highlighted at the stand. They are the SMA Energy App, the SMA Sunny Design, the SMA SunnyPortal and the most recent of all, the MVPS 3D app”, they concluded.

During the fair, visitors will also be able to test the Medium Voltage Power Station (MVPS) using a touchscreen smart TV installed in the central area.
