Seeking to increase its presence in the Brazilian photovoltaic market, the manufacturer Sofar Solar brings inverter 75 kW optimized for Brazilian commercial applications.

According to the company, the inverter was optimized for Brazilian territory and has six MPPTs (Maximum Power Point Tracking) and 20 A MPPT current per string.

In addition to the inverter for commercial applications, the company also brings customized inverters for Brazilian homes of 7.5 kW with maximum DC input current of 18 A per string and wide MPPT voltage for higher daytime generation and higher yields.

The company still has in its portfolio three-phase inverters with power ranges from 15 kW to 110 kW, compatible with multiple applications. Furthermore, the manufacturer has a 255 kW inverter with 12 MPPTs, to adapt to complex terrain, and allows 30 A of input current per MPPT, compatible with bifacial modules.

Already thinking about battery market, the company launched, in April this year, your solution Sofar PowerAll residential ESS, which includes a inverter and lithium batteries.

Guang Du, head of Sofar Solar in Latin America, highlights that the Brazilian market is booming and Sofar wants to participate in the expansion of solar sources in the country.

“Brazil is a significant market and Sofar is paving its way to be a leader in digital energy solutions with technological innovations and cutting-edge products,” said Guang Du.

Sofar is among the top five global suppliers of hybrid inverters in 2021, with a global market share of more than 7%. The information was published in “Global solar PV inverter and module-level power electronics (MLPE) market share 2021“, from Wood Mackenzie, a global research and consultancy group that provides data, written analysis and advice to the energy sectors.

In 2021, the company's shipments of residential hybrid inverters exceeded 66 thousand units, an increase of more than 450% compared to 2020. According to the company, one of its main competitive advantages is the strong focus on technological innovation and services in increasingly fierce market competition.

“Over the years, Sofar Solar has continually strengthened its R&D (Research and Development) capabilities. This led Sofar Solar to introduce the industry's first 20 kW three-phase hybrid inverter in 2020, which is still the most powerful energy storage system in the residential sector,” the company said in a statement.

“Sofar Solar offers a wide range of energy storage products and solutions, including single-phase and three-phase DC and AC coupled energy storage inverters, as well as high and low voltage energy storage batteries,” commented Guy Rong , vice president of the company.

“In the future, Sofar Solar will continue to reinforce its commitment to being a leader in digital energy solutions, enhancing technological innovation, developing smart utility networks and providing high-quality products to our customers around the world,” he concluded.
