Through the campaign “Fly High with Solmais Towards Germany", The Solmais and the Performa Experience promoted the immersion of six Brazilian integrator companies in Intersolar Europe, held from June 19th to 21st, in Munich.

By participating in the international exhibition, the integrators got to know new technologies and solutions, updated on the latest trends of the market and strengthened commercial partnerships with global manufacturers.

The event program included fairs, lectures, congresses and forums, with more than 1,370 exhibitors. “This cEmpowerment of our partners is one of the main pillars of the company,” he explained. Augusto Simão, commercial manager at Solmais.

A solar energy management and storage were major themes at this year's edition of the fair. You managers of the company had the opportunity to explore various innovative solutions in this field, which aim to optimize the use of solar energy and guarantee greater energy autonomy for consumers.

Discovering the cutting edge of solar energy in Munich

The delegation also took the opportunity to visit other solar energy reference points in Munich. One of the highlights was the oldest rooftop solar plant in Germany, built in 1997. The system is located on the Intersolar Europe complex and remains fully operational after almost 30 years. It is the first to produce 1 MW on a roof in the world.

“We had the opportunity to see what a module was like from that time. It was a 130 W Siemens and there are still 7,816 units of it in operation. 28 years ago, for example, it was practically prohibited to place an installation on a residential roof in Brazil. Now we see how the market has evolved and become more accessible”, added Simão.

Wildpoldsried: a sustainable community model

The Solmais team and integrators also carried out a guided tour in Wildpoldsried, a German municipality that has around 2,567 inhabitants and is known internationally for being a sustainable 100% community.

The city uses wind, biogas and solar energy to meet its energy needs, serving as an inspiring model for the energy transition around the world.

“Each wind turbine is approximately 140 meters high. Each blade is 40 meters long and generates 2.3 MWh. It’s just fantastic,” he said. Eduardo Passos, marketing manager at Solmais, during the tour of the wind farms. “It is an example of how cities can adopt sustainable practices for a greener and more self-sufficient future”, he concluded.

New partnerships to boost the Brazilian market

Intersolar Europe was also the stage for the consolidation of new partnerships for Solmais. The distributor reaffirmed its partnership with major manufacturers, such as Solplanet, Sungrow, Sonova Solar, Era Solar, Trina Solar and Must. In addition, it signed a new distribution agreement in Brazil with DAH Solar, one of the main global manufacturers of solar panels.

“DAH Solar will launch in Brazil, through Solmais, the full-screen module, an innovative product that generates more energy and less dirt”, he reinforced Felipe Santos, Sales Director at DAH in Latin America. Another important agreement signed was with the Lux Power, a global reference company in energy storage solutions.
