A Proauto Solar participated for the first time as an exhibitor at the Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste, which took place on April 18th and 19th in Fortaleza (CE). In previous years, the company was present as a visitor.

During the fair, the manufacturer stated that he achieved plenty of leads and business and explained the solutions they offer in relation to connectivity, protection and monitoring systems.

“The market already knows a lot about Proauto in terms of protection, stringbox, both in the DG (distributed generation) and GC (centralized generation) markets. Our expertise is already widespread in this area”, said Renan Garcia, commercial coordinator at Proauto.

“In terms of monitoring systems for the DG sector, we have some large EPCists from the Northeast who were interested in learning about our portfolio. However, where we got very interesting leads was in the connectivity part, mainly in grounding and bimetallic connectors, as here in the region, as there are several GC plants, there is a lot of demand”, he explained.

According to the executive, the company identified that in the centralized generation the event ended up being very assertive. “This is where the pole is. Most of the large photovoltaic plants are in the state of Minas Gerais and the Northeast region”.

Forecasts for the sector

With regard to the distributed generation market, Renan Garcia commented that the segment is experiencing a difficult time. “All distributors and component suppliers, for example, are indirectly being impacted.”

“But everyone is already talking about a recovery, that business is returning. I am sure that in the second half of the year the solar energy sector will return to the exponential growth that we already know”, concluded the commercial coordinator at Proauto.
