Sudene releases R$ 26.6 million in financing resources for PV parks

Projects, located in Ceará, form a 212 MWp complex that should come into operation later this year

He was approved for the board collegiate from the Oversight of Development of North East The release by R$ 26.6 million for four parks in generation in energy photovoltaic what integrate one complex in the municipality of Abaiara (CE).

“The transfer corresponds to the 8th installment of financing granted with resources from the FDNE (Northeast Development Fund) for the Lightsource Milagres I, II, III and V parks, from the company Lightsource BP”, stated the Superintendence.

The company's total investment in this project was R$ 782.65 million, of which R$ 422.95 million was financed through the FDNE. Sudene is offering new lines of credit to attract new ventures to the North and offering extended terms and lower interest rates.

“It is important to have the market's trust in our instruments of action and the constant search for entrepreneurs has demonstrated the importance of Sudene in attracting new investments”, commented superintendent Danilo Cabral.

“The Northeast Development Fund was designed precisely to be an exclusive differentiator in our area of activity to offer credit with easier conditions”, he added.

The projects form a complex with an installed capacity of 212 MWp and which should come into operation in 2024. The project should generate approximately 460 thousand MWh per year.

The Milagres Complex is connected to the SIN (National Integrated System), providing clean energy through the sectioning of an existing 230 kV transmission line, owned by Chesf, which connects the Milagres and Bom Nome substations.

During the implementation phase, it is estimated that the complex created 800 direct jobs, in addition to generating 2,000 indirect jobs during the implementation phase. During the operation, the workforce will consist of ten direct jobs, with the expectation of creating another 30 indirect jobs.

“FDNE has traditionally been a well-received financing option for energy companies. Therefore, our intention is to attract enterprises from other sectors, highlighting the plurality of our region's economy”, concluded Heitor Freire, director of Fund Management, Incentives and Investment Attraction at Sudene.
