The regions Southeast It is Midwest from Brazil already have at least one solar energy system installed in the segment of G.D. (distributed generation) in all their respective municipalities.
This is what a survey carried out by the Solar Channel, with data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).
At Southeast region – known for its economic strength and its large cities – the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo are located, which add up to more than 572.5 thousand connections in 1,668 cities.
A The capital of Rio is the one with the highest volume of connections (14,977), followed by Uberlândia (MG); Belo Horizonte (ME) and São Paulo (SP), with 12,102; 8545 and 8066 systems, respectively.
To the cities from the Southeast region with fewer systems installed they have them all just one connection made until now. They are: Arapeí (SP); Barra do Chapéu (SP); Iporanga (SP); Itapirapuã Paulista (SP) and São Sebastião do Rio Preto (MG).
The numbers of the Midwest region, formed by the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás, in addition to the Federal District, today have 196.5 thousand photovoltaic systems installed in 466 cities.
In the region, while Campo Grande, MS); Cuiabá (MT), Brasília (DF) and Goiânia (GO) are the municipalities with the most systems coupled to the transmission network, the location of Buritinópolis (GO) is the one with the lowest amount, with only two systems.
According to ANEEL, in Campo Grande there are already just over 16 thousand systems installed. Cuiabá, Brasília and Goiânia have 14,614; 12,050 and 11,534 connections, respectively.
Distribution by regions
ANEEL numbers show that the Brazilian territory has 5,569 municipalities, of which 48 still do not enjoy the benefits of solar sources in the DG segment.
In addition to the Southeast and Central-West regions, the The South region is the closest to having 100% of its municipalities with at least one solar system in the distributed micro and mini generation segment.
At the moment, only two of the 1,191 cities still do not have connections: Matos Costa and Balneário Rincão, both in the state of Santa Catarina.
In the Northeast, 11 of the 1,794 municipalities do not have photovoltaic systems installed. Of these, four are in Piauí; three in Maranhão, two in Paraíba; one in Rio Grande do Norte and one more in Sergipe.
Already the The North region is the one with the least positive numbers for solar DG in Brazil, with 35 municipalities without solar energy in the distributed micro and minigeneration segment. O Negative highlight is Amazonas, which still has 24 cities without using the source.
