The manufacturer of energy storage solutions UCB Power and the distributor of solutions for solar energy generation Aldo Solar signed a partnership to marketing and distribution of batteries at the Brazilian market.

According to the companies, one of the objectives of the partnership is popularize sales of UCB equipment from the capillarity of 56 thousand integrators working with Aldo, offering the best and most reliable solar energy storage solutions for all sizes and sizes of customers, throughout Brazil.

“It is an important milestone for UCB Power to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with Aldo Solar. We have added the largest distributor of photovoltaic solutions in the country to our team and will reach important channels in all regions”, highlights George Fernandes, CEO of UCB Power

“Our joint goal is to increase the number of solar energy projects, reaching all customer profiles, and expanding its participation as an energy matrix in Brazil”, he adds.

“Together, UCB Power and Aldo will build a new chapter of energy solutions for Brazil. This partnership will promote the largest portfolio and resources for companies looking to stand out in the segment, especially for those targeting the energy storage and integrated solutions market. We are extremely confident in the number of possibilities that UCB will bring to our ecosystem. Be assured of news,” he says. Nuno Verças, CEO of the Descarbonize Soluções/Aldo Solar Group.

The two companies highlight that the initiative considers the projections of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association), which points out that the installed capacity of solar energy must exceed the 45 GW mark in 2024 – of which 31 GW will result from distributed generation

“ABSOLAR’s numbers are important to guide our investments and helped us complete the agreement with Aldo Solar. We even believe in a number of photovoltaic generation projects above this level. We are working to best resolve solar energy storage issues”, he points out. Marcelo Rodrigues, vice president of Business, Marketing and Innovation at UCB Power.

Elberson Nakanishi, commercial manager at Aldo Solar, emphasizes and praises the DOD (Depth of Discharge), the sizing of batteries for solar energy, of UCB equipment.

“The brand’s DOD is fantastic and customers still have 10 year warranty on equipment, two big differences. We are now talking to UCB to provide this and other information to our channels through training that we are designing together”, he adds.

The Aldo executive points out that in the base of 56 thousand integrators registered with the distributor, the majority are from small integrators who does not yet have in their mindset the possibilities opened up by energy storage. “We will help with this evangelization and change this perception together with Aldo’s channel team”, projects Rodrigues.

  1. I started my OffGrid solar system in 2022. Little by little I have been purchasing more LifePo4 batteries directly from China. My prediction is to be free from the energy company in 2026 with everything working 24 hours OffGrid!
