A manufacturing unit from the ARaymond, in Vinhedo (SP), has been supplied since the end of August this year by a solar power plant with more than 1,200 photovoltaic modules installed on the industry roof.
On the afternoon of this Wednesday (08) there was a opening ceremony of the project, with the presence of executives and those responsible for implementing the project.
O system installed, which also has five inverters of 110 kW each, was implemented with the aim of helping the multinational achieve the goal of reset to the company's global carbon emissions until the end of the decade.
“One of our objectives is to use renewable energy in all our processes by 2030. We understand that the inauguration of this plant is an important and relevant milestone for us”, said Alexander Pircher, CEO of ARaymond Brasil.
Altogether, the power generated by the new plant is being responsible for supplying 25% to 30% of the factory's general consumption Vinhedense, which has already guaranteed the company savings of more than R$ 126 thousand since the plant started operating.
“Our option was to build a zero-export plant. As we have enough consumption for the entire generation, we decided to install a manager that prevents this energy from being exported (to the grid)”, said Antonio Adipietro, maintenance leader at ARaymond in Brazil.
To install the new plant, ARaymond relied on the services commissioning of the Solar Channel, of EPC Eco Solar and logistics of Port Trade Energy – which supplied the solar panels, inverters and structure, enabling the other companies involved to move forward with the project.
“We were very well advised by both Canal Solar and the other companies, who together did an excellent job in terms of technical support so that we could open this plant very successfully”, said Adipietro.
“We sought to bring high-quality Tier 1 solar panels and high-performance inverters to this project, always taking care to offer quality above all else,” said Ricardo Valle, CEO of Port Trade Energy.
“It was a very interesting dynamic, with several meetings to align projects and schedules with other companies. It was a very well-designed project that gave the client what they wanted”, said Adriano Tenório, engineer and coordinator at Eco Solar.
National fixing clips
One of the interesting aspects of implementing ARaymond's new photovoltaic plant was the fact that the fixing clips used in the project are national 100%, manufactured in the Vinhedo plant itself.
“It was a great challenge to use national fixing clips, as the process of nationalizing this clip was running in parallel with the plant installation work, but in the end it went as expected and made it possible to use them”, according to Rafael Avila, KAM from the Energies division.
